Adam Elend is a producer with more than 12 years of experience in the film/video industry. His new documentary feature, FIGHTING FOR LIFE IN THE DEATH-BELT, follows Stephen Bright, the nation’s leading anti-death penalty lawyer, as he works through the final hours to save a client facing execution.
Elend has produced several award-winning television programs including THE N-WORD GAME (1998), which considered the issue of race in college fraternities and led to investigations of racial inequalities by Florida State University and the Pan-Hellenic Council. His recent work includes field producing the 6-part PBS series Architecture=e2 and the Lexus U.S. Open Show. Elend completed an internship with academy award-winning sound mixer Richard Portman at the Florida State University School of Motion Picture and Recording Arts, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1998.

Jeff Marks has been making films for more than ten years. He recently directed and produced the documentary feature FIGHTING FOR LIFE IN THE DEATH-BELT with partner Adam Elend. Marks also regularly contributes to THE VOICE OF FREEDOM, a weekly alternative television news magazine, and serves as a media consultant for progressive political campaigns.
Marks was born in Miami, served with distinction as a U.S. Army paratrooper, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Florida State University School of Motion Picture and Recording Arts. He currently resides in New York City.
